Gerald Ivan Anderson

Anderson, Gerald Ivan, 70, of Petitcodiac, passed away at the Moncton Hospital on February 9, 2010. Born in Knightville, he was a son of the late Joisah and Ethel (Branscombe) Anderson. He worked at Fawcett’s Lumber Mill most of his life. He attended the Hillgrove Baptist Church, and was a member of the Orange Lodge. Gerald loved his family, especially his two grandchildren. He enjoyed music and cooking, and when he was younger, he enjoyed snowmobiling, hockey, fishing and hunting. Gerald is survived by his wife, Diane Anderson (nee Douthwright); his sons: Ivan (Sharon) and Troy (Stephanie), all of Petitcodiac; his grandchildren: Levi and Katlin; his sister, Joan Doyle (Grover) of Carsonville; his half-sister, Nettie Nowlan of Amherst. Gerald will be missed by his dog, Onya and his cat, Patch. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his half-brothers: Theodore, Fred, Ira, and Everett; his half-sisters: Edna Branscombe, Frances Branscombe, Bertha Anderson, and Myrtle Anderson. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm in Armstrong’s Funeral Home, Petitcodiac; the funeral service will be held on Friday at 3:00 pm in the Hillgrove Baptist Church with Pastor Derek Geldart presiding. Interment will be held in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. Family flowers only. Donations to a Living Memorial would be appreciated by the family.
